For digital streaming you will need something like a Roku Stick, or a Amazon Fire Stick, they both start around $20 to $25 and they are both flawed with a Crappy Remote. But you will have access to an abundent selection of Apps to Choose from. You will not have to pay an arm and a leg to watch programs, there are many free apps that offer loads of entertainment.
Get one of those sticks and watch the Free Apps, plus many of today's televions come with Roku already installed. Bad enough those Cable, Satellite and Internet Guys cost so much, along with those unneeded primium channels. An antennae may also be needed, you can access lots of free channels via that as well.
Know that if you use those Apps on your cellphone, they will have access to everything that you do. It will be a worse intrusion on your privacy than when use google siri or amazon alexa. Yes, I know they may be convenient, but they also constantly track you and amazon especially allows perverts to spy on you. When your equipment is not being used, have everthing on a swticable unit and shut them off.
Sadly the FCC Federal Communications Commission who is supposed to protect us from those scum Companies is just paid off to look the other way, along with our Lawmakers.
All devices should come disabled for the tracking. We should be paid if we want that option. Not the other way around. But since we have nothing but Crooks in Office, we have no protection.
