The Whole Picture


Recently I was in a discussion about the place of women. I thought as Christians we have started to understand the Word of the LORD and to be with modern times.
Now I was told of Scriptures about how the wife is to serve the husband and do all the husband says. I was told that the wife by the Word of the Bible is supposed to be a slave to the husband.
As some of you know I will tell you to your face that if all you can do is quote Scriptures or worse only partial Scriptures, you do not truly understand the Word and you are very arrogant.
Here is the full story that this person only gave a partial speaking of, it is as if his version of being a Christian is cut and paste to your own desires.

Eph 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
Eph 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the Saviour of the body.
Eph 5:24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Eph 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Eph 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Eph 5:28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
Eph 5:29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

So do you respect and love your wife the way you are supposed to?
Or do you not respect and not love your wife because you are only reading and learning pieces of Scripture?
I really can understand why so many have become Atheists, especially the women. If we treat women like they are garbage, then we are no better than garbage. We cannot treat those we need as an inferior person. A woman is equal.
Yes you heard me right, a woman is equal.
Many things have been changed in the Bible to fit with mans ideology.
Popes and Kings changed things to fit their ideas, not what was written.
If we are to continue to treat women in this form, than as Christians, we are no better that the Muslims who get a kick out of treating their woman as garbage.
I will never understand how treating your wife with disrespect and as a slave will make a religion more popular, but Islam has increased in great numbers throughout the last decade (1999-2009).
The men treat the women as slaves and garbage and the women do nothing to stop them.
And now Christian women are being treated as garbage, by men who are taught in partial Scripture that they are right and the woman is wrong.
And when the women are tired of this, they leave the husband or boyfriend and some change to be Atheists, the big problem with that is Atheists believe they out number everyone and they are wrong and now Atheists are saying they are responsible for the death of Christ for they helped put things into motion.
Is that a wise thing to do?
And the other thing the Atheists have wrong is if the Muslims ever take over, their false beliefs and laws mean the Atheists will have to convert or die and the Atheists wrongly believe they will be safe.
A Muslim world means death and chaos, many will be slaves, we will be put back centuries.
As Christians, we must remain strong, we must fully understand the Words in the Bible and we must respect the women.
