| 2944 N Freeway Rd Pueblo, CO 81008 719-564-0181 Well, it's a Wednesday and the special is Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes, gravy, a biscuit and coleslaw all for $2.99 plus tax and if you want a drink. The water was free. We found the food to be hot and fresh, we found the floors, tables and chairs to be a mess, the bathrooms were even worse off. If they could keep the dining area and bathroom clean, it would be a good experience. I did notice that the kitchen was kept clean and orderly. Strange that the rest of the place wasn't. (03-07-07) |

The only thing I had a problem with was I thought the Hot & Sour Soup had to much Seasame Seed taste to it, this could have been from the meat. They have a great hot mustard that they make. I had the Chicken Fried Steak, now I do not if it's me, but my steaks always come out dry. And this was no exception, it was dry, greasy and unappetizing. My wife had a 8 oz steak, this was flavuorful and tasty. The salads were regular, they had good home made dressings, dressings that were mild and not bitter. We shared an appetizer platter and it was good. They make a lot of there own stuff here, and that's a plus. It was relaxing. The Peach Cobbler was homemade as well and very tasty. The prices were modest and overall we had a good time. Now if they can just fix that Chicken Fried Steak. (08-22-03) |
