Red Chilhuacle:
Common in Mexico, the pods are 3 inches in length and 2 inches in width. Immature pods are green and mature pods are dark red.
These are also called chilhuacle negro, they dry to a nearly black color, used in mole sauces, they have a medium pungency.
Red Squash Pepper:
Common in Puerto Rico, pods are 1.25 inches in length and 1.25 inches in width. Immature pods are green and mature pods are red. Medium Pungency.
Ristra:
A long "string" of New Mexican chiles used for storage and decoration.
Rocotillo:
Common in Grand Cayman and British West Indies, the pods are 1.25 inches max in length and 1.75 inches max in width. Immature pods are green to light green and mature pods are yellow and red.
They have a mild pungency.
